Normative sample 2018 - revision of standards
The new normative sample is made up of 1186 French-speaking adults and 678 English-speaking adults. They completed the TAM in a selection context in vocational training programs and in a recruitment context during the 2016-2018 period.
The Mechanical Ability Test (TAM) consists of 68 multiple choice questions with a time limit of 30 minutes and can be administered online only.
The TAM is used to identify people with good abilities of mechanical reasoning and spatial perception. The test measures the ability of a person to understand and implement their knowledge of the physical and mechanical elements in practical situations, or in their work environment.
